What began as FitCamp Montenegro – a place devoted to mindful living, conscious movement, and connection with nature – has now evolved into GEA Retreat.
The transformation reflects our growth and the deepening of our purpose.
GEA, the ancient name for Mother Earth, beautifully represents everything we stand for – harmony with nature, authentic living, and the nurturing energy that grounds and inspires us all.
Our logo still carries the same symbol, a reminder that while our name has changed, our essence remains unchanged: a sanctuary where body, mind, and nature meet in balance.

IDEA
Self-sustainability is our goal!
We aspire to achieve self-sustainability and live in harmony with nature. As our centre evolves, we aim to transition to solar and wind energy for electricity and are already harnessing rainfall to meet our water needs.
Embracing a zero-waste approach, we compost to produce organic fertiliser, cultivating fruits and vegetables available to our guests in a motivational bio-gardening way. Additionally, we created a mini recycling yard not only for ourselves but for our local community, too!
Nature-healing is one of the ultimate needs of a contemporary lifestyle. Our mission is to guide you in forging a harmonious connection with nature, enabling you to live the best life possible!
MISSION
In the modern world, the relentlessly busy lifestyle takes a toll, subjecting people to high-stress levels and causing them to lose sight of essential aspects of life, such as health and mental well-being.
At GEA, we believe travel is more than escape – it’s a return. Here, you can disconnect to reconnect, guided by the healing rhythm of nature itself. Through the wisdom of naturopathy and mindful living, we help you restore balance, recharge your energy, and remember what it means to truly feel alive.
Our programs are carefully tailored to help you enjoy the moment while practising JOMO (the joy of missing out). With our instructors and coaches, you can reach your inner self and enjoy all life’s joys. Let us guide you through this path during the vacation to remember!

Andjela will be your hostess, activities coordinator, and go-to person for any questions before, during, or after your stay with us.
As a certified naturopathic practitioner, Andjela also offers an initial wellness assessment for every guest — helping you discover which elements of our holistic program will best support your individual balance, health, and inner alignment. 🌿
Besides that, she runs our Sustainable Lifestyle Department, where she focuses on the sustainability of our property.
She introduces sustainable practices, oversees our motivational bio garden development, and teaches you about nature healing, the benefits of plant consumption, and more.

Matija

Matija is the co-founder of GEA Retreat, handling everything related to functionality and maintenance throughout the seasons. From leading the renovation process to taking charge of heavy-duty tasks, Matija’s nickname around here could easily be Mr Heavy Lifting.
But there is more to Matija than just hard work – he is a history buff, which is his official educational background, with a deep interest in global politics. When he’s not keeping GEA in top shape, you might find him diving into martial arts, another of his passions.

Specialising in hatha yoga and its many forms, Tamara shares her profound knowledge with our GEA community, creating spaces where guests can reconnect with themselves and find inner harmony. She finished Kashish Yoga School in Goa, India.
But her expertise doesn’t stop there – Tamara is a certified Reiki and aromatherapy coach, blending these practices to help our guests feel truly at home in their own skin.

Each season has its magic! 🌸 Spring and autumn are perfect for hiking, yoga, and mindfulness outdoors; summer is ideal for warm evenings under the stars; while winter brings calm, reflection, and cosy indoor sessions.
Do you host group or corporate retreats?
Yes! We love welcoming small teams and groups seeking reconnection, creativity, or wellbeing. Our Soil & Soul program can be adapted as a full-day or multi-day mindful team-building experience.
